Dear Fellow Africans, Asians, and Caribbeans,

INTRODUCTION OF REV. DAVID B. KAYODE AS A CANDIDATE FOR CITY COUNCIL

We write to inform you that Rev. David B. Kayode is contesting for the Queen's 28th District seat in the City Council of New York on the platform of Democratic Party. The Council as you are aware is the legislative body for the city with powers to make laws for the good and effective governance of the city. The election for the seat is set for Tuesday, November 4, 2013.

He is contesting for the seat in his firm belief that he can serve the people of New York City as a Councilman better than his current position as a Counselor in the NYC Department of Social Services. He has been an activist all his adult life serving people of New York City in all aspects of life including and not limited to the welfare of people. He also had a great and incredible opportunity to serve as a Legislative Aide to the Late Councilman White who held the same seat he is contesting until his sudden death in 2010.

As a matter of fact, he has being urged by the people who were close to the Late Councilman White to contest for the seat because they believed that he had garnered enough experience to continue the good work of the Late Councilman White. If he is elected, he strongly believes that this will undoubtedly enhance the image of Africa and the Third World in general in New York City and in the United States as a whole and correct the perception of Americans about the Third World especially Africa.

Consequently upon this and in view of the foregoing, permit us to approach you our dear people whilst appealing to your undoubtful feelings of solidarity to ask you in a special manner for both your moral and financial support in this endeavor. We are more than convinced, that your understanding and high sense of solidarity would be receptive to this request.

Thanking you in advance and God Bless.

Yours sincerely,
Family and Friends of Rev. David B. Kayode
